Islamabad declaration of accessibility

More than 3.75 million people in Pakistan have a disability.

This document is a declaration by people with disabilities, their representatives, disability specialists, health specialists and other experts from the disability field, alongside state representatives, service providers and legislators.

It was published at the Islamabad National Consultation on Accessibility, held on 12-14 August 2009, and aims to ensure that people with disabilities, as other human beings, are entitled to the same basic rights as enshrined in all national and international standards, declarations and conventions. Publication date: August 2009
