Cantel fundraises for Sightsavers with sponsored bike ride

May 2023

IT services company Cantel is raising money for Sightsavers with a sponsored bike ride in May.

Four Cantel staff members will be making the 127-mile ride along the canal from Liverpool to Leeds on 15 and 16 May, stopping halfway overnight before continuing the challenge. The team, who will also be joined by Sightsavers’ Elliot George, will be filming their journey on a GoPro and sharing updates on social media.

Cantel joined Sightsavers as a corporate partner in November 2022 to help save sight and improve access to education. Money raised by the team will protect the vision of some of the world’s poorest people and support our work to improve access to education for children and young people with disabilities.

Richard Cusworth, commercial director at Cantel Support, said: “We are thrilled to organise this charity bike ride in support of Sightsavers, and we hope to raise a significant amount of awareness and money for their cause. We believe that access to eye health services is a basic human right, and we are proud to support Sightsavers in their efforts to reduce avoidable blindness globally.”

You can help the cyclists meet their fundraising target by making a donation via JustGiving.
