Sightsavers encourages supporters to make a will for My Legacy Month

October 2019

Sightsavers is joining more than 60 Irish charities to take part in My Legacy Month, encouraging supporters to make a will and consider leaving a gift to charity.

My Legacy Month, an annual event taking place in November, aims to raise awareness of the importance of making a will. The process is usually more straightforward and cost-effective than many people realise.

When making a will, you will naturally look after your family and loved ones first. You may then want to acknowledge a cause you feel strongly about, and this support can have a lasting impact.

When supporters tell us they intend to leave a gift to Sightsavers, this support helps us to continue our life-changing work and give the gift of sight as a lasting legacy for future generations. Read about leaving a gift to Sightsavers in your will.

To take part in My Legacy Month and to find a local solicitor to help you make a will, visit www.mylegacy.ie or watch the video below to learn about the importance of making a will.
