Whizz past some of Edinburgh’s historic sites on one of the UK’s fastest marathons.

The 26.2-mile course starts in the city centre, passing Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse before the final stretch along the Victorian Portobello promenade.

More than 30,000 runners attend the event each year and the course is flat, meaning you can pick up your pace if you’re feeling competitive.

With nine races in total taking place over the May bank holiday weekend, the Edinburgh Marathon promises a buzzing atmosphere that will get you pumped for a personal best.
