Abseil for World Sight Day

On 10 October 2024, join us to celebrate World Sight Day by taking on the challenge of a lifetime: abseil 150ft from the roof of Croke Park in Dublin.

Dr Sinead Kane, an international keynote speaker, solicitor and visually impaired athlete, took on the abseil challenge as a Sightsavers ambassador in 2022.

Each year in October, Sightsavers Ireland hosts a once-in-a-lifetime challenge to mark World Sight Day: a 150ft abseil from the roof of Ireland’s Croke Park.

Sightsavers Ireland aims to make World Sight Day even more special with the help of our supporters! Why not challenge yourself, your colleagues, family or friends to take on this fantastic event to help support our life-changing work?

For the cost of €1,300, your team of four people can help Sightsavers change lives by protecting the sight of more than 26,000 people in some of the world’s poorest countries. You can also take part as an individual for €350.
