How we produce our web content

Our online content is based on input from our qualified medical and technical experts, plus real-world interviews and in-house research from the countries where we work.

  • We use sound medical knowledge and evidence from Sightsavers’ research team to inform our information on the health conditions we treat.
  • We consult our experts for eye health, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), and disability and inclusion to sign off any medically related content before publication.
  • We carry out first-person interviews with people in their native languages to understand their unique stories and experiences.
  • We review how people are represented in our stories and appeals to ensure the content accurately portrays them and their communities.
  • We regularly review webpages to ensure information is accurate, accessible and reflects the latest research and industry standards.

Sightsavers is committed to delivering the best web experience possible for all visitors. Our user-experience research team actively seeks feedback from our supporters to help achieve this goal.
